The third-largest food festival in Europe will take place from 6 to 16 June 2024 and will delight visitors with a colorful kaleidoscope of over 100 trend-setting events and a vibrant festival center in the middle of the city. FOOD ZURICH brings people together, lets them enjoy, discover new things and learn with relish.

This year's festival program is once again under the motto "Culinary Future" and presents a rich menu of trend-setting and diverse events. Together we will address the pressing questions of our time. What does sustainable nutrition look like? What is sustainable and what is healthy? The questions are simple, the answers complex, but also full of exciting solutions.

The festival center is located directly behind the main train station in Europaallee and offers visitors a creative selection of climate-friendly food and drinks. This year, FOOD ZURICH will be collecting organic waste at the festival center, which will then be processed into local biogas by Biogas Zürich AG to ensure that sustainability is not only taken into account when eating, but that cycles are also closed.

That is why we are looking for Recycling Heroes to help us monitor the organic waste containers so that the organic waste is separated correctly. Plastic or other foreign materials must not be mixed with the organic waste. In addition, our R-Heroes will support FOOD ZURICH in collecting data on guests' mobility so that the festival can calculate its CO2 footprint. For 2 shifts of 2.5 hours each, you will receive an expense allowance of CHF 20 per hour and a food and drink voucher. Are you interested?
